Accessibility statement

This statement applies to the Venta web application (PackSpec.Web) delivered in English (en-GB document language). It is intended to support compliance with the UK Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 and related guidance.

Conformance status

We aim for WCAG 2.1 level AA for the application. Venta and the broader PackSpec experience are partially conformant: a baseline audit and remediation work are recorded in WCAG 2.1-oriented project documentation (see internal artefact ACC-01). Automated scans (e.g. axe DevTools) should be re-run on staging after each accessibility-related release; some issues only appear in dynamic or data-loaded views.

Known limitations and planned work

Visual Editor (Navigator / supply chain canvas): The SVG-based canvas is not fully equivalent for assistive technology users. A text outline panel (tables of nodes and connections) and a published keyboard shortcut reference in the product repository under docs/accessibility/ACC-11-visual-editor-keyboard-shortcuts.md are provided; complex spatial editing remains canvas-first.
Third-party and rich visuals: Network graphs, some charts, and embedded content may not expose full semantics. Prefer listed data tables or exports where available.
Zoom and reflow: See the ACC-14 zoom and reflow test log in the project docs/accessibility folder for viewport and browser-zoom checks. Layout fixes are applied iteratively (e.g. flex min-width on main shells).

How we tested

Manual code review, structured checklists (Venta routes per ACC-01), and recommended axe DevTools scans on authenticated screens after data load. Screen reader spot checks are advised for primary journeys.

Dashboard

Your packaging position at a glance. The headline figure is your total estimated EPR fee exposure, annualised from the trailing 12 months placed on market and priced in your selected reporting jurisdiction.

Material Mix — where your weight and fees sit by material.
Exposure by Jurisdiction — the same portfolio priced in each regime; click a row to switch. Sort by the converted baseline-currency column, and open the currency button to set your baseline currency or override exchange rates.
Governance scorecard — traffic lights comparing recycled content, recyclable-rated share and data completeness to your targets (edit them via the pencil).
Data Completeness — A–D completeness grades; D-grade records are too weak for reliable reporting.
Awaiting supplier — open data requests you've sent suppliers.

Pick from supplier library — search your suppliers' published specs by their SKU, product name or your own SKU, click one, and it becomes a populated draft attached to your product. No re-keying.
Import / Export — bulk CSV or Excel in via the import wizard (auto field mapping), Excel out.

Products

Your SKUs. Each product can carry one or more packaging specs (primary, secondary, tertiary) and links to the suppliers who provide that packaging.

Complete records score higher in Data Completeness — aim for name, SKU, brand, category, country of origin, weight and image.

Suppliers

The packaging suppliers connected to your products. From a supplier's page you can browse their catalogue, grant or revoke portal access for their contacts, and request missing data.

Suppliers maintain their own specs in the supplier portal (separate login) and control which specs are listed publicly versus shared privately with existing customers.

Fees & Jurisdictions

Full transparency on how your exposure is calculated: which jurisdictions are covered, the fee table in use, when it was last updated, and the assumptions behind it.

Every jurisdiction carries a status — Current (published rates and sources), Indicative (rates applied, sources being confirmed), Scheduled (future-effective, e.g. California SB 54 from 2027), Draft or Pending. We don't overstate certainty where a regime is still developing.

Schedules are multi-level: some regimes price a whole family (Plastic), others price subcategories (France: PET clear vs coloured, flexibles, disruptors). A spec classified deeply rolls up automatically in family-level markets; a spec classified only at family level that is sold in a subcategory market is flagged as a classification gap — reclassify it via the packaging wizard's material step.
